Program Overview
SUNY Broome Community College’s Radiologic Technology program is a two-year (21-month) academic and clinical JRCERT accredited program that prepares you for a dynamic career in medical imaging. Graduates earn an associate’s degree, meet ARRT Standards of Ethics, and must pass a certification exam for ARRT credentials and New York State licensure. As a Radiologic Technologist, you’ll be at the forefront of medical advancements, working with cutting-edge imaging technology in a rapidly growing field. At SUNY Broome Community College, your coursework will cover anatomy, biology, radiation safety, image analysis, and physics, while also developing your technical and patient care skills. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting, learning to collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and compassionate care. This dynamic career offers diverse opportunities for specialization, including MRI, CT, sonography, radiation therapy, and research, allowing you to shape your path based on your interests and abilities.
Mission
The Radiologic Technology Program of SUNY Broome Community College offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree which graduates competent entry-level, registry eligible Radiologic Technologists.
Program Learning Outcomes

- Job placement of program graduates will meet the percentage and time frames required by JRCERT “Standards”.
