Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the conventions and methods of music in the Romantic Period.
- Recognize and analyze nuance and complexity of meaning through critical reflections on text, visual images, or artifacts.
- Demonstrate an understanding of music in the Romantic Period and the creative process inherent therein.
- Identify the important movements and individual composers of the century and the contributions of each to stylistic progress.
