BHM 125 - Hospitality Law A study of the legal principles governing hospitality operations including: common law, contracts, laws of tort and negligence, hotel-guest relationship, laws regarding food, food service and alcoholic beverages and employment laws.

Upon successful completion of this course:
- Students will clearly articulate legal issues within hospitality contracts, understanding the roles and obligations of all parties involved.
- Students will identify, analyze, and evaluate the legal obligations of hospitality entities, particularly in relation to hospitality guest protections.
- Students will demonstrate an awareness of how different perspectives and bias can influence the interpretation and application of laws and contractual terms common to the hospitality industry.
- Students will construct well-reasoned, written, logical arguments about legal issues in hospitality, based on the principles of law, guest protection, and contractual obligations.
