LIT 263 - Children’s Literature
Close reading and analysis of a diverse selection of literature written for children including short fiction, novel, and poetry. Emphasis on the use of critical theories in investigating diverse interpretations of the texts and in exploring revelatory connections between the literature and contemporary human experience.

Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the conventions and methods of literature and literary analysis.
- Recognize and analyze nuance and complexity of meaning through critical reflections on texts.
- Use a multi-stage writing process to write effectively using tools and/or forms appropriate to the discipline.
