HST 102 - Introduction to Community & Public Health


This introductory course offers a broad overview of the principles, history, and practice of public health. Students will explore the development of public health systems and examine the core functions, essential services that guide the field, and highlight the importance of addressing health disparities and promoting equity. Students will also become familiar with key public health organizations at the local, national, and global levels and their roles in shaping health outcomes.
