CST 223 - VR Applications This course teaches the fundamentals of Virtual Reality. From a historical perspective to the present state and to future applications of VR technology will be investigated. Development platforms and applications, as well as the key elements of a VR environment are covered. Students will gain experience using various VR hardware platforms and 3D/2D game engines to analyze, setup, operate, and maintain VR equipment in a laboratory environment.
Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisite: CST 216 Visual Basic.NET
Credits: 3 Hours 2 Class Hours, 2 Laboratory Hours Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge in basic history of VR development.
- Demonstrate knowledge in VR hardware and software principles.
- Demonstrate Health & Safety in VR.
- Discuss future applications involving VR.
- Create and edit VR applications using 3D/2D game engines.
