CLT 250L - Histology Lab


A practical application of microscopic anatomy. The course includes light microscopy techniques, quality control, and identification of cellular anatomy, tissues, and histochemical stains.

Prerequisite- Corequisite
Prerequisite:  CLT 200/200L Histological Techniques

Corequisite:  CLT 250 Human Histology

Learning Outcomes of the Course:

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

  1. State fundamental safety guidelines used in the histology laboratory.
  2. Identify and describe the fundamentals and clinical significance of routine and special histological staining procedures used to evaluate tissue specimens.
  3. Correlate clinical case studies and patient disease to histological evaluation of stained tissues.
  4. Recognize and describe normal and abnormal stained tissues and cells.
