CHM 247 - Biochemistry
A study of the chemical and physical properties of biomolecules occurring in living organisms including proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids. Enzyme kinetics particularly emphasized. Experiences in the laboratory involve the application of techniques used in biochemical investigations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate the use of the scientific method to explore natural phenomena, including observation, hypothesis development, measurement and data collection, experimentation, evaluation of evidence, and employment of mathematical analysis.
- Demonstrate the application of scientific data, concepts, and models of one of the natural sciences.
