RAD 228 - CT Sectional Anatomy This course will cover the function and identification of cross-sectional anatomy as related to the Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging process. Emphasis will be placed upon visualization of CT images of the head, neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system for imaging professionals.
Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisite: The student must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Permission of the Instructor
Credits: 3 Hours 3 Class Hours Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Name anatomical structures located within the head, neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper and lower extremities.
- Describe the relationship of each anatomical structure to surrounding structures.
- Describe the function of each anatomical structure.
- Locate the anatomical structures on CT images in the transverse axial, coronal, sagittal, and orthogonal (oblique) planes.
