GLG 111 - Earth Investigations This course is a survey of the geosciences for non-majors. The core principles of meteorology, geology, and the nature of our solar system will be discussed. The laboratory component utilizes various multi-media resources and Google Earth to engage students.
Credits: 3 Hours 2 Class Hours, 2 Laboratory Hours Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the unifying themes of the geologic sciences.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the scientific method in general, and as it can be applied in the geologic sciences specifically.
- Demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific data.
