MUS 106 - Music Theory II
Continuation of Music Theory I including part writing of all diatonic chords in first and second inversion, harmonic analysis of all non-harmonic tones including inversions of the dominant seventh chord and transposition and scoring for brass instruments.

Course Profile
Learning Outcomes of the course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Visually and aurally distinguish between all cadences and non-chord tones.
- Construct and discuss the differences between small form types.
- Correctly build seventh chords in both Major and minor keys.
- Successfully analyze and compose counterpoint examples in First and Second species.
- Demonstrate an understanding of music theory and the creative process inherent therein.
