CRJ 245 - Criminology (WE) A study of the general field of criminology examining various theories of crime causation and the impact crime has on society.
Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisite: ENG 110 College Writing I
Credits: 3 Hours 3 Class Hours Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Define criminology and explain the various fields that establish the criminology discipline.
- Describe major concepts and theories of at least one discipline in the social sciences.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the methods social scientists use to explore social phenomena.
- Demonstrate effective written communication skills.
