RAD 216Y - Imaging Modalities Introduction to the principles of computerized axial tomography, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound.
Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisites: RAD 102 Image Production and Evaluation II
Credits: 1 Hours 1 Class Hour Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Describe the following imaging procedures: MRI; CT; Nuclear Medicine; PETCT, Ultrasound, and Radiation Therapy.
- Provide patient education concerning the following procedures: MRI; CT; Nuclear Medicine; PETCT, Ultrasound, and Radiation Therapy.
- Observe each of the various imaging modalities for diagnostic studies: MRI; CT; Nuclear Medicine; PETCT, Ultrasound, and Radiation Therapy.
- Perform basic CT exam of the head, thorax and/or abdomen.
