BIT 215 - IT for Classrooms and Boardrooms This course explores the use of emerging and innovative technology and apps to communicate and collaborate effectively in educational, business, and other settings. Through hands-on projects students will learn how to design effective, outcome-based, informational content suitable for an audience of any age from early childhood to adult and then assess its effectiveness. Technology such as iPads, responsive touch technology, collaborative technology, interactive presentations, and social media will be incorporated into student projects.

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Describe current technologies that can be effective instructional and communicative tools for audiences of varying backgrounds, abilities, and ages.
- Explain effective and appropriate uses for collaborative, touch-responsive, virtual and embedded technology in educational and other settings.
- Use the elements and principles of design with differing types of technology to create engaging and appropriate educational materials and/or presentations.
