BUS 114 - Entrepreneurship Law
Entrepreneurship Law is designed to introduce the student to the constantly changing legal environment surrounding the operation of a business entity. The Securities Dealer, broker-dealer or a bank affiliate. The Series 6/Series 63 course will effectively prepare them for the qualifying exams (Series 6-Federal, Series 63-NYS). Requires broker/dealer sponsorship to sit for federal/state exams.

Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- List and recognize the sources of the legal regulatory environment.
- Detail the structure of the Court system as related to litigating a legal entrepreneurial issue.
- Understand and be able to articulate the legal distinctions of the various types of business formations.
- Prepare an enforceable contract.
- Understand and be able to identify and respond to pending and existing legislation which will affect the entrepreneurial environment.
- Detail the risks and responsibilities surrounding Tort Law.
- Detail the nature and depth of the business owner’s legal liability in the business workplace by preparing the requirements of an insurance policy.
- Understand the ever changing role of E-Commerce by locating and detailing various e-commerce sites.
