Mission

The mission of the Website Development and Management Certificate is to prepare students for careers that require a basic foundation in Website development technology such as Web content manager, social media content developer, Web designer, Web front end developer, Web administrator, and graphic designer, through the use of innovative teaching methods, diverse modes of instruction, flexibility of course selections, and the inclusion of 21st century workplace skills.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Communicate effectively in business settings using communication technologies.
  2. Collaborate in a project environment utilizing teamwork skills such as creative problem solving, conflict resolution, and diversity awareness.
  3. Utilize technology to acquire, process and manage information for effective decision making.
  4. Demonstrate mastery of discipline-specific skills in front-end website development and maintenance including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, mobile design, social media, and the manipulation of graphic images.

The Certificate in Website Development & Management combines HTML/CSS/JavaScript programming with visual design and marketing savvy, enabling students to create and manage attractive and functional websites. The program emphasizes the basic principles of web design and development and teaches the techniques that will allow you to use multimedia content for web based mobile apps, social media, and commercial websites. The Certificate in Website Development & Management is designed to prepare graduates for entry-level positions such as: Web content manager, Social media content developer, Web designer, Web front end developer, Web administrator, Graphic designer.

Credits earned transfer directly into the AAS in Business Information Management or the AAS in Website Development & Management.
