MET 170 - Metallurgy Metallurgy of ferrous and/or non-ferrous materials. Topics to include crystalline structure, cold working, hot working, phase diagrams, strengthening mechanisms, heat treatment, mechanical testing, metallography, and metal failures. Additional topics can be added to address specific student interest. Students will receive some hands-on laboratory experience.
