An introduction to digital audio recording and editing and associated technologies. This course will cover basic microphone types and techniques, fundamental principles of sound and psychoacoustics, digital audio formats, signal flow, and gain structure.

Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Record, import, and edit digital audio files in a Digital Audio Workstation.
- Recall and compare digital audio file format standards and properties.
- Identify different types of microphones, their characteristics, and their applications in the recording studio.
