ART 117 - Basic Metal Working Techniques Acquaints art students who are taking three-dimensional design or Sculpture with basic techniques and safety measures involved in working with various metals. Students will be introduced to welding, casting, and forging techniques.
Credits: 2 Hours 1 Class Hour, 2 Studio Hours Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate three forms of metal working: welding, forging, and casting.
- Apply those techniques to projects designed and executed in three-dimensional design.
