SPK 110 - Effective Speaking
Principles and practices of public speaking. Students will present extemporaneous and prepared speeches. They will research, write, revise and deliver speeches, paying attention to audience, organization, technology, development, delivery, critical listening, and constructive evaluation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Produce coherent texts within common college-level written forms; demonstrate the ability to revise and improve such texts; research a topic, develop an argument, and organize supporting details as they prepare a research-supported speech.
- Give proficient speeches.
- Evaluate an oral presentation according to established criteria.
