CRJ 111 - Introduction to Criminal Justice
This course provides an understanding of the development and operations of the criminal justice system. Students will learn about the components, participants, and processes of law enforcement, courts, and corrections.
Prerequisite- Corequisite
Prerequisite: Writing placement score equivalent to ENG 110 College Writing I or better

Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Identify and describe the three components of the criminal justice system: law enforcement, courts, and corrections.
- Identify the various steps and specific goals of the criminal justice system.
- Describe the specific types of crime.
- Explain the importance of discretion and ethics throughout the criminal justice system.
