FRS 202 - Juvenile Firesetter A study of the nationally recommended approach of the education, intervention, and development of a juvenile firesetter program.
Credits: 3 Hours 3 Class Hours Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Recognize the difference between fire play and intentional firesetting.
- Understand the extent of juvenile firesetting and the effect on the individual, the family, and the community.
- Understand the benefit of a juvenile firesetter program.
- Identify an intervention strategy for juvenile firesetters.
- Recognize the scope of the problem and insight into the motives of why juveniles play with fire.
- Understand the stigma attached to juvenile firesetting.
