HIS 103 - Western Civilization I A survey of Western Civilization from its beginnings to the 18th century. This course fulfills the SUNY Western Civilization requirement.
Credits: 3 Hours 3 Class Hours Course Profile Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Identify and describe the major civilizations of the ancient Near East.
- Identify and describe some of the distinctive features of medieval European civilization.
- Analyze the development of Western civilization’s impact on other regions of the world.
- Identify some of the distinctive features of ancient Greece and Rome from their origins to late antiquity.
