HIT 214 - CPT and HCPCS Coding
A study of CPT and HCPCs as it relates to ambulatory and physician coding. An overview of ambulatory and physician coding and data collection. Theories and practical applications of ambulatory and physician payment methodologies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Determine CPT codes according to coding guidelines by coding medical record documentation.
- Calculate APCs from medical record documentation.
- Create a physician query.
- Manage coding denials.
- Ensure coding compliance and accuracy.
