Course Profile
Learning Outcomes of the Course:

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

  1. Describe knowledge of various alternative energy systems, their advantages and limitations.
  2. Determine system requirements and calculate the optimum system for a given application (ie find the size of a PV system to meet peak home energy demands).
  3. Evaluate and compare different alternate energy systems by calculating the cost, savings and the payback period of the system.
