EAS 123 - Natural DisastersThe study of natural geological and weather related disasters including, earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, winter weather and flooding. The course is founded on the science of when, where, and why disasters occur including the discussion of primary vs secondary disasters. The course will also touch on the scientific monitoring and risk management of disasters through the use of natural disaster case studies.
