GLG 111 - Earth Investigations

This course is a survey of the geosciences for non-majors. The core principles of meteorology, geology, and the nature of our solar system will be discussed. The laboratory component utilizes various multi-media resources and Google Earth to engage students.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of the unifying themes of the geologic sciences.
Demonstrate an understanding of the scientific method in general, and as it can be applied in the geologic sciences specifically.
Demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific data.
