Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

  1. Identify, define, and integrate prefixes, suffixes, word roots, and combining forms of medical terms.
  2. Correctly define, spell, and interpret terminology across body systems.
  3. Pronounce and interpret terminology associated with disease, pathological conditions, and systems of the body.
  4. Use medical terminology and abbreviations within the correct context.
  5. Interpret medical language with simulated medical statements and patient record excerpts.
